·Value all domestic and non-domestic properties in Northern Ireland

·Maintain valuation lists

·Carry out general revaluations

·Provide a general valuation, estate-management and property-information service to government departments and the public sector in Northern Ireland

·Issue rate bills for private domestic properties and non-domestic properties, such as shops, factories etc

·Follow up and process payments for rate bills

·Inspect vacant properties

·Process refunds if someone has paid us too much

·Manage the Housing Benefit Scheme (for owner-occupiers) and the other rate-relief schemes (see www.helpwithratesni.gov.uk )

·Manage the Disabled Person’s Allowance Scheme

·Maintaining the Title Register in, Land Registry and Statutory Charges Register and the Registry of Deeds and providing up to date accurate Land Information Services

·Supply mapping information for Northern Ireland

·Provide records and data about place and location
